Jesusa U Dougherty
"Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe." - Abraham Lincoln
Jes’s diverse background in the design and construction industry began in 1988, when she graduated cum laude from the University of Houston’s School of Architecture. She quickly joined a local design-build firm, where she gained first-hand experience and then later with a local structural engineering firm. She also became aware of the limitations of each discipline and of the need for a consultant that could address both fields. Jes acquired a better understanding of the impact of design decisions and their immediate correlation to the development of the structural design, the schedule, the budget, and the project as a whole. Bringing 37 years of experience in project management and construction administration, from inception to building close-out, she continues to work with clients, architects, and builders in the successful design and construction of thoughtful, well-made buildings.
As a side passion and outlet for creativity, Jes has been developing her ceramic skills and interests for several years.
