Daniel Devia Perez
“Function influences but does not dictate form.” — Eero Saarinen
Daniel graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering, where he chose structural engineering as his primary area of focus. He sees structural engineering as a keystone of building design and believes that understanding how a building stands and responds to fundamental forces such as gravity and wind is essential to creating thoughtful and innovative designs.
After graduating, Daniel began his career in construction management to gain firsthand exposure to how mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are integrated within a building and how the different disciplines come together during construction. This experience complemented his architectural engineering background and reinforced his appreciation for the many interconnected systems that make buildings functional and comfortable.
Daniel believes that truly thoughtful building design begins with understanding how all of these pieces work together. For him, the ability to create something truly beautiful goes hand in hand with understanding the systems and components that make it possible.
